Carmel Realty Company honored with the Chamber's Award of Excellence

Carmel Realty Company was the honored recipient of the Carmel Chamber of Commerce's Award of Excellence in Real Estate at the 15^th Annual Awards of Excellence Gala Wednesday, December 5^th. Celebrating 100 years in 2013, Shelly Mitchell Lynch and Vicki & Bill Mitchell accepted the honor on behalf of Carmel Realty Company's 31 REALTORS specializing in luxury homes for sale in Pebble Beach, Carmel and Carmel Valley (photo courtesy of Michael Troutman, DMT Imaging).

Nicknamed the 'star award,' the community nominates three businesses for reach of the 14 categories and the Chamber members make the final selection. Honorees show a consistent record of excelling in quality service, practicing the highest business ethics, fostering a beautiful environment and exemplifying enlightened customer service and staff relations.

Bill Mitchell dies at 83

If you never met Bill Mitchell, by all accounts, you should wish you had.

Mitchell, who died March 26, was a man who was decorated for his service as an Air Force pilot in Vietnam, went on to fly commercially for three decades, established what would become the Monterey Peninsula's foremost luxury real estate firm, gave generously of his time and resources — and amidst all of that, managed to squeeze every bit of fun out of life.
