Local REALTOR®s Hit the One Billion Dollar Mark
CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA, Calif. - On Wednesday, Sept. 22, Who's Who in Luxury Real Estate, a global network of luxury real estate brokers, presented its Billionaires Club Award to local real estate agents Bill and Vicki Mitchell of Carmel Realty. This award is given to individuals who have sold at least $1 billion in real estate throughout their career.
Bill and Vicki Mitchell, a husband and wife real estate team, have been working in luxury real estate on the Monterey Peninsula for over 20 years. Before that, Bill Mitchell worked in commercial real estate for 15 years and Vicki Mitchell was involved in the high-end markets of Atherton and Woodside. Between them they have over 77 years of real estate experience.
"It's a challenging market right now, but we're doing well," says Vicki Mitchell. "We've worked hard over the years and developed life-long relationships with many of our clients."
Asked how they managed to reach the $1 billion mark Bill Mitchell says, "The people we have the opportunity to work with really keep it interesting to me. Some things have changed over the years. For example, the Internet has transformed our business. Today 80% of buyers do initial research on the web. But, while business has morphed technologically, it's still all about people and relationships. And that drills down to market knowledge, trust and integrity."
Bill Mitchell graduated from the United States Air Force Academy, and received an MBA from Stanford University. Vicki Mitchell received her BA from San Jose State University.
